What We Believe

Inviting people to Know Jesus

who Empowers us to Make a Difference

God

There is only one God who created everything including us. All people are created in His image and we are all loved by Him. He is active in this world and in our lives and desires that all would know Him and be in relationship with Him. We know God as one in three persons, God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is the source of all love, all truth, and all holiness.

Jesus

Jesus is God in the flesh. He came so that we could know Him be set free from the sin that trips us up and keeps us from experiencing the peace, hope, love and joy that we were created for.

Being fully God and fully man, He gave Himself freely as a sacrifice on the cross to forgive us our sins and then rose from the grave to show His authority over all of life and death.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is our helper, our comforter, and the one who teaches us the truths of God. Through the Holy Spirit we are empowered with gifts for serving the Kingdom of God. We are also empowered to live in the fruits of the Spirit love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.

scripture - Bible

The bible is our basis for faith and living. It is the inspired word of God. It is where we learn the character of God, the miracle of grace, and the extent of God's love for us, shown through Jesus. It is where we learn that we can trust the promises of God for they are always faithful and true. It is where we learn how to seek after God and persevere in the face of struggles. The bible is God's way of revealing Himself to us.

The Church

The church is often called the body of Christ. Simply put, that means that the church is the collection of those who believe that Jesus is the Savior, the one who has come to heal the world of sin. This gathering is for worship of God, building one another up in the faith, and becoming equipped for works of service.

Why do good works?

The bible tells us that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus. There is no way that any of us can live a perfectly holy life, but through Jesus' death on the cross we can be credited through faith with His holiness. That's what it means to be saved by grace alone. The bible also tells us that we are saved to do good works. So we do good works not to earn salvation, but in response to the grace we have been given.
